On Monday, July 7, our adoption agency called with the wonderful news that China had matched us with a baby girl and that we would receive her photo and brief information by federal express the next morning. How eager we were to get that package! Using great restraint though, we did not open the envelope until we had Michael on the phone. Can words even begin to describe our happiness? And how do you find the words to describe her over the phone? Our technologically astute children handled the situation and e-mailed Dad a scan of her photo!
Here she is! This is our new precious daughter from China. Her name is Lydia Grace and she is 9 and a half months old. We are absolutely enamored with her!
It is amazing how one look at her erased all the weariness of our wait! God's timing is indeed perfect!
