Hard to believe that it has been a little over a month since Lydia arrived home. It seems like she has always been a part of our life! In the early morning, Ryan and Gillian take her outside with them while they feed the animals. Then Maris and Lydia fold the laundry - someone needs to give Maris an award for patience! Brynne - well, she has undertaken the supremely important task of teaching Lydia important words to say - see below. Oh, and she is also teaching Lydia to strum the guitar(?).
Lydia's Milestones:
learning to raspberry (thanks Michael!)
learning NOT to raspberry
learning to eat new foods
pulling herself to standing position
taking a few steps
learning to love kisses
taking a nap in her crib
smiling a lot more
laughing with a great "belly" laugh
Today has been a big day for her - probably bigger for Brynne who has so selflessly given of her time to teach Lydia to say "Brynne". A few minutes ago, Brynne had her reward and Lydia clearly said "Bwahn"! Brynne spelled this for me so I would record it correctly. Humor moment of the day - Brynne just announced that raising children has got to be easier than college!
I would say life got easier when we looked up how to say "no" in Chinese.

Great update! Hey, we gave up on the raspberry thing. She still does it. Our HS is Sat. BTW. The pictures are wonderful! Thank you for sharing with everyone! Levi said to tell Ryan hi.
